Accessories and consumables

Rings, plates, vessels, probes and spare parts for Digidrop and 3S instruments — the consumables a working laboratory keeps on the shelf.

The consumables a working laboratory needs

Surface science instruments live on their accessories. The ring that measures your interfacial tension, the plate that touches your liquid, the syringe that deposits your droplet: each is a consumable with a service life, and each has a direct effect on the result.

GBX Scientific supplies accessories and spare parts for both product lines, shipped from Dublin and matched to the instrument you own.

Keep the critical parts clean — and in reserve

In tensiometry, ring cleanliness dominates the measurement: a flame-annealed platinum-iridium ring is part of the method, not an optional extra. Keeping a spare ring in the drawer is cheaper than a day of questionable results.

In contact angle work, the dosing syringe and the reference plate play the same role: reproducible droplet deposition, and a calibrated surface to verify the analysis against.

Tensiometry accessories (3S)

Du Noüy rings

Platinum-iridium rings to the standard dimensions; the defining consumable of the ring method.

Wilhelmy plates and probes

Plates and probes, including PTFE-coated types, for plate-method and continuous measurement.

Vessels and holders

Glass vessels and thermostatted holders for controlled-temperature work.

Calibration accessories

Reference tools for the daily verification of the force sensor and the water blank.

Contact angle accessories (Digidrop)

Syringes and needles

Precision dosing syringes and needles for reproducible droplet deposition.

Reference test plates

Calibrated surfaces for verifying drop-shape analysis and surface energy computation.

Sample stages

Stages and fixtures for films, fibres, powders and irregular samples.

Cleaning and care

Consumables for keeping optical paths, stages and dispensers in laboratory condition.
